Jan Rybicki is Assistant Professor at the Institute of English Studies, Jagiellonian University, Kraków, Poland. He also taught at Rice University, Houston, Texas and Kraków’s Pedagogical University. His interests include literary translation, comparative literature and digital humanities, especially stylometry and distant reading.
Jan Rybicki is also an active literary translator, with more than twenty translated novels by authors such as Coupland, Fitzgerald, Golding, Gordimer, le Carré or Winterson. He served as a Member of the Executive Committee of the European Association of Digital Humanities (EADH) in 2010-2016 and organized the DH2016 conference in Kraków.
